Master Plan

Master-planned from the very beginning, every detail is being carefully considered, the look and feel, how the site interacts with the elements and how it will age over the decades. Architects Dean Boothroyd and Peter Dredge of leading studio NH Architecture designed the master-plan from the original Overland group concept, bringing their expertise in large-scale urban design and seeking a new expression of architecture as a public construction. ​


The master-plan design focuses on drawing the public into the heart of the community, where retail and community meet open green spaces to provide a vibrant hub. Timeless design flows from front doors into a grid of tree-lined streets. The proposed native and productive planting throughout pocket parks and urban streetscapes aims to invite birdlife and enhance the thriving natural environment surrounding the precinct.

The Auckland Unitary Plan strategically places Favona as the region for industrial, commercial and residential growth. Market Cove is perfectly located to take advantage of that.

Conveniently placed between Auckland airport and 15km South of Auckland CBD, you’ll have direct connections to the city and beyond in every direction. The site is well positioned to take advantage of the Waterview Connection set to open early 2017, which will connect the Southwestern and Northwestern Motorways (State Highways 20 and 16).

If you’re not travelling by car, there are bus services to Onehunga and the CBD, along with regular trains on the Southern Line from nearby Otahuhu Station to Britomart, Manukau, Papakura and Pukekohe.
